Hi,

I'm looking at getting one of these - it says it's a 10A draw, does that mean it won't work with the Power Socket (DIN) on my F650GS Twin? If so I'll knock up a way of connecting it to the Optimate plug, was interested to hear peoples experiences....

Yes, it will trip The can bus circuit breaker. I fitted an additional Heller plug connected directly to the battery with a 15 amp fuse which I also use for connecting my Optimate because it bypasses the can bus system.

Airman compressor

+1 for connection straight to the battery.
My compressor plug has a sliding device to enable it to fit two plugs.
Great bit of kit.

During the second service I asked my dealer to add a direct connection to the battery and the socket is cable tied to the frame in readiness.

I've added a socket that's direct to the battery with a 10A fuse inline. That'll sort it!
