Can anybody help with the following please.............

I had an external HDD plugged into my Mac Book just now and 'somebody' decided to rock up and unplug the HDD from the mains and then plug it back in a second or two later once they realised what they'd done.

I got the 'you didn't eject your HDD properly' message. Switched off the HDD and shut down the Mac Book.

Now, whatever I do the Mac Book can't seem to see the HDD. I've plugged it into A Windows 'puter and that sees it fine

Any starters for ten please?

Plug in the drive
Press CMD and the space bar
Type Disk Utility
If the drive appears on the list but you can't see it on the desktop select the drive and click to mount it.

If that doesn't work then you may have to try repair tools but suggest you check with a Mac shop first as you may loose data.

Go to finder, see if the external drive is in finder, under shared heading. If it is, click on it to open it, click on any folder and it should mount.

Can you see it in Disk Utility?

Edit: already sorted. Pls ignore.
