Hi

I am about to install an Autocom to my 2010 R1200RT, if anyone has any pointers I would be grateful.

Thanks

Anthony

Are you also using a zumo or suchlike?

If you are it's probably worth powering the zumo from the canbus socket near the headstock and the autocom under the rear seat cowl powered from the accessory socket at the back (splice it in).

Hope that helps in some way

Thanks, that's really helpful. I have a Zumo plugged into the accessory socket on the headstock, I didn't know there was a accessory socket at the back under the seat.

Are there two auxiliary sockets then? I'm in the process of fitting a satnav and was thinking of getting Bluetooth Headsets, but thinking about it I already have an autocom on my KTM, I could remove it and fit it to the RT and just buy a single headset for the KTM.

I thought you couldn't splice into a power source as the canbus system doesn't like this option?

Not a problem as the autocom doesn't require enough power for the canbus to worry about and the socket switches with the ignition
