I mate has the ABS control unit go on his K1200R, been quoted £1500 for parts plus labour to fix, so considering converting to non ABS. Can anyone recommend someone to do this cost effectively?

Cheers

Is it the servo brakes?

I think it's motoscot that offers a ride in ride out service on the latter post 2006 systems

IF it's servo and he definitely wants to remove drop me a pm

Just stumbled across a new-ish vodeodi from the redoubtable James at Superbikesurgery in Gloucester, which clears up the confusion caused by dear Chris H's original attempt at an ABS-ectomy, when he simply lobbed-off the harness to the ABS Pump connector plug and found the brake lights and speedo didn't then work. So he had to withdraw his film from the Toob.

Here's the new film; very helpful and informative, if a little long-winded as is typical from James - more than half-an-hour : -
