Quick oil/service question

Hello all,

My friend ordered me a 6k service kit from BMW (through his garage).

It come with 4 litres of oil, is that enough, or does it take 4.2?

Also along with the oil filter and crush washer came a small rubber ring, about half the size of the crush.

What's this for please?

Dead on 4 litres, the o-ring is for the drain plug on the rear diff unit :)
 
+ 1 For final drive oil change,
the oil does come out dark and with residue/ fragments for the first and second change, you will get over 4 changes out of a 1 litre bottle,

I thought there was a crush washer for the bevel box as well as the O-ring. Filler has one; drain the other.

I changed by diff oil at 11,000 miles and it was so black, smelly and horrible I did it every 6,000 after that. It doesn't hold much oil so the cost is negligible
 
Morning all,

Completed service over the weekend at 5k. Should the next service be at 11k or 12k (assuming I get there before 12 months)?
