I've just arrived in Belfast from Scotland and my oil light is flickering when idleing. When I increase revs it stops. I've got a 4 day tour tomorrow. Started bike later and light doesn't appear. Plenty oil in bike. Has anyone experienced before. Thinking I should get oil pressure test wondering if the fit is universal for all bikes and should be able to go to any bike mechanic. Any advice helpful. Thanks Dave

How low is the RPM at tick over ?
It's about 1000rpm
Ok 1000/1100 is about right.
Thought it maybe idling at low rpm.
It could just be a faulty oil pressure sensor, ten minute cheap try .
How was the weather on the ride over?
If it was wet, maybe check the pressure switch connections (LH source of crankcase, under LH cylinder).

Its probably the oil pressure switch, i had exactly the same issue with my bike. Easy fix just replace old for new.
