Does anybody know where I can purchase one of those blanking plates to replace the removal of the OEM rear mud deflector?

During my recent trip to Morocco due to the bad roads I lost two of the screws - one of them has actually sheared off and needs drilling out. So I have decided to remove the mud deflector and fit said blanking plate.

I have tried the usual suspects - Sherlocks, Motoworks, MotoBins and Nippy Normans but no luck.:(

Thanks guys, Touratech was the one supplier I never looked at - just the £16 then for a small piece of ally - bargain:rolleyes:

Why bother?
I've not had the shovel on mine since I bought it and never felt I needed this item to fit!

I too have the sheared off bolt syndrome, common thing i reckon.
My Fender fell off on the Denali Highway ending up going round with the wheel and jamming up.
Not bothering with the fender again so now got the Touratech plate on it.

You never got rid of that gorgeous twin cam I sold you, did you?

It just tidy's the area up after the shovel is removed.

Nice little farkle for the money.

Was bored this afternoon, read this, removed my shovel thing, and knocked up a plate out of 15mm wide ally , with a couple of holes in it, one for the calliper bolt and one for the one lower down , does the trick for nothing :D

Doesn't say Touratech on it though :p

Get back in your shed and knock another one up for me mate;)

Ah ok pleased it's still giving you good service - I do regret parting with it, it's replacement has proved to be superb but that TC had something about it :)

Maker your own - I did - took about 1/2hour and a pice of scrap aluminium sheet I had lying around.

10 mins in the garage.... not pretty as a TT one but it covers up the holes, which is all it needs
