Just wondering what is the simplest setup to just listen to instructions from a satnav while riding. Not interested in music or voice activation. wearing a Schubert C3 Basic

such things do seemingly exist, heres an example with Harley branding http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-2017-...594174?hash=item4b18430b3e:g:wAAAAOSw42JZJ2n- , must be similar versions out there this side of the pond. Some of the sports/running ones might fit the bill http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bluetooth...hash=item4b0a2fdc9c:m:m3R06dcGaOOan5X-OicV_6A . If I was commuting or racking up big miles I'd probably get full kit in helmet, however for the little bit of navigation I'll be using I'm sure something small with no mic will suffice.

I think I'll just get a sports running one anyway as I can use it for non bike activities, just wanted to see if anyone here had tried this route.

Last year while in Ibiza I unfortunately had my Arai helmet stolen that had a scala rider G4 fitted :blast This turned out to be an expensive experience on my part as i didn't report it to the local rozzers so couldn't claim on insurance. Anyhoo i'm waffling here :blagblah

To get me home i bought a cheapo open face scooter helmet and looked around the local Euronics store in Santa Eularia i bought one of these https://www.bigbuy.eu/en/bluetooth-headphones-brigmton-bml-07-n-black-headband.html .
It got me home but have to say was pretty uncomfortable gave me sore ears for a while.

What i am getting at is cheapo comms like these are a false economy they work, but you will probably end up buying an alternative helmet fitted comms like Scala or Senna. Its the first thing i bought when i got home a replacement Scala rider G9 solo

I am also interested in an audio in only setup. I want to be able to listen to satnav and music via the navi v, but not in intercom or phone calls,so don't need a mike. I'm happy to spend a few quid to get clear audio as my hearing is rather poor, having lost all the treble range.

try this. I got it a couple of years ago through ebay for c. £15. Does what it says on the tin and sits totally inside the helmet earpiece recess with no need even for Velcro so dead quick to move between helmets. Links to Satnav and phone (through Satnav). Mike is small and not "intrusive" with buttons on mike "stalk". 6+ hrs of battery life and recharges without taking out of helmet.

I'm after the same thing

last year I met a chap riding a vespa, he used a match box sized bluetooth box on a lanyard to listen to his satnav - it looked like it would take 2 AA batteries and he used his normal white ear buds you see people using on the train with their iphones. Seeing this post you have reminded me to renew my search. The jogging headsets seem to have battery life of 6 hour life will let you know if I find something. Do let us know how you get on with the griffin . T

Ok.Just bought a griffin bluetooth adapter for £15 as I see other users happy with it, also bought cheap set of helmet speakers for £2.99 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361982266301?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT and I'll see how that setup fares.

Well, I can say now that for the above total of £15.99 I have a very clear and crisp blutooth connection with my phone which is using Navfree. Only downside is that the lead from the earphones to the dongle is a bit long and I might just cut it back so that I can unplug it at the helmet and not be left with about 2 feet of lead with a volume controller attached, I can reduce volume at the phone end if its too much but I'd say it was just right. Dongle just sits in my jacket pocket with lead connected to headphones, that will of course have to be routed to an internal pocket if the weather turns wet.

I've been using these, actually to the point that as it's only music, I can't justify £180+ replacement, helmet setup.

£12.50

I am using an Interphone Tour bluetooth unit but want a simple receiver with earpiece so that associates can hear my instructions, any ideas guys?

Interesting thread - I've just fitted an SRC in my Schubert C3 Pro. I can't hear a thing with my earplugs in, and can't ride without them for any length of time.

So I had a similar thought to many of you on here - is there a blue tooth in-ear speaker that would work as a noise suppressor and could link with my Garmin 595?
