Need a new fibre compatible wifi router, that can reliably get signal up to 50m away (though will use powerline for sheds at the bottom of the garden), or at least provide wifi coverage round the house, something the current one is struggling with.

Ideally I'd prefer an all in one, fibre modem and router, no that is going to seriously limit my options.

Been looking at the netgear orbi - http://www.netgear.co.uk/home/produ...-orbi-search&gclid=CKLDyPyfktQCFYE4GwodAXYHBQ

Gets good reviews, but it's not exactly budget for a router, so before I splash out on one, anyone here got any experience of using one ? Or got a better recommendation? :thumb

Your 50m isn't going to happen unless it's free air line of sight. As far as wifi is concerned you do get bad ones but outside that they are all pretty much the same. There are laws that stop any of them from being supersonic better.

You want coverage put multiple points in. You can get packs of access points that work together as a mesh network. You could also put multiple plug extenders in that can work very well.

The 50m isn't all clear line of sight, unfortunately- but it's not really an issue tbh.

Thanks, do you mean wireless extenders ?

Or something like these ?
