Spanish motorway tolls?

Slightly OT but has anyone tried getting two bikes through a toll booth with one ticket/payment? Question obviously applies to France as well.

The technique is known as "le petit train" here, works for cars too if you stick to the bumper of the car in front

Only problem is there are cameras on the toll booths and you may find plod waiting for you at the next one :blast

Motorways in Spain are a touch more interesting than the conveyor-belts of the UK. They're better designed, usually less-populated by mad cagers in Mercs and have more bends and pass through nicer scenery. But like mortorways anywhere, they're mostly boring and long trips on them gradually put that flat part into the middle of your tire due to riding in a mostly-vertical straight line. Far better to avoid them and stick to the usually-excellently-surfaced byways. Plan your long trip to include enjoyable journey times through interesting scenery, not just interesting places to stop at !

Thanks for the replies :thumb2

Got back a couple of days ago and as advised, manual payment was simple and there are even manned booths on many toll plazas.

We did use some motorways where we had to due to time constraints (covered 3000+ miles in two weeks in Spain and Portugal) but don't worry, we kept them to a minimum and did loads of interesting stuff ;)
