Four years ago I bought some Goretex Sidi Adventure boots from a bike shop which were in a sale, just on the weekend I visited. They were about £50 off.
They now leak so they've gone back to Feridax and a new pair is waiting for me. However the shop are asking for the balance between the sale price and the rrp price.
Is this right? As in, should I have to pay the difference?
Very happy with the boots and the warranty backing but should I be out of pocket too?

No .... tell them to do one. The price you paid has got fuck all to do with the warranty of the item

Agree!

Price has nothing to do with it! Just because you bought them in a sale is irrelevant.

If they are faulty they get replaced! Like for like.

Update.
Had a money refund of the sale price of the Sidi boots and have ordered a new pair of exactly the same boots from another place, for the same as I paid 4 years ago.
So all in all not a bad outcome. Didn't feel I needed to shell out another £50 odd for the new Sidi Gore 2 boots, which Feridax had sent; now at £314.99!!
