That's right, it's that time of year again :

It's the 8th time (really, it is !) we've held the :
Horizons Unlimited Ireland Overland Adventure Travel Event

Like the HUBB UK event we're broadening the appeal and, as well as motorcyclists, we'd like to see cyclists & Expedition Vehicle Drivers coming along to present and enjoy the presentations.
Or sign up to present a bicycle/motorbike/jeep trip of your own ;)

The date for your diaries is 23- 25th June 2017, just outside Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh.

Same location as in previous years….how could we move away from that fantastically friendly welcome at Cavanacarragh Hall, the great food and the craic. A weekend with like-minded people is guaranteed …and did I mention the Guinness ?

Full details, including registration, are here - http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/events/ireland-2017
We're on the HUBB too - http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hubb/hu-travellers-meetings-uk/hu-ireland-2017-happening-june-89710

And we've set up a facebook page for the 2017 event. You can find it here - https://www.facebook.com/events/772927742876669/
We will keep this page updated as and when we have details of new presenters and other relevant information.
If any of you are on facebook it would really help to spread the word of the event if you would "invite" any facebook biker connections to the facebook page
All publicity is good publicity!!

There's already a few people off here registered to present with more updates due next week.

See youse all in June

Myself and GNITS of this parish will be there. Leaving on 16th and riding round the WAW to get to you.

Looking forward to the craic, and we've been promised tropical weather by you lovely Irish folk too :beerjug: :aidan :D

Are you bringing spare fuel Toddy

Most likely will be on the S1000XR Peter so hopefully not needed :D

The CCM has been left with the factory and is going to Dynojet tomorrow to sort out the over rich fuelling.

really looking forward to this as we missed last years :clap:clap:clap

More presentations lined up

Hot off the presses and not yet on the Events page.

JIM WILSON and perhaps Seamus (though he may not know that yet :blast) will be giving the lowdown on their recent attempt at an motorbike altitude record in South America. Yes ..that's the trip that our very own MIDE MAHER achieved the world altitude record for a female on a motorbike. Don't forget to congratulate the team :bow:bow :beerjug:

FRANK MCNELIS will be regaling us with stories of his African adventures

SEAN MCANULTY will be explaining how easy it is to drive a 4X4 from Ireland to Cape Nord (oh yeah!)

LIAM MCCABE
...A RTW traveller who has a seemingly endless font of stories. If you have never been to a presentation by Liam (or even if you have) you are in for a treat.

FEARGAL O'NEILL
...Moroccoina..The logistics of a fly/drive biking trip to Morocco for a week.

Details of other presentations are on the HU events page

http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/events/ireland-2017

Don't forget....to be certain of a place at the weekend go to the HU page and register asap.

Anyone have thoughts on Technical / Electrical that you might like incorporated into my talk Demo

I'll be bringing a GS911 to try to show folks how to interpret Data from it along with fault code diagnosing and clearing

Can bring the 1150 and 1200 Final drives and a couple of gearbox if folks are interested in a look see? ?

Deadly!

If not already included, I'd love to learn about wiring accessories into a bike - Fuzeblock, PDM60, etc - auxiliary lights, power sockets, etc. I know that most guys know about these things already, but as I don't, to hear a talk (and perhaps to be able to ask questions ) would be great!

It'd be cool to see the gearbox and FDs too.

:thumb2

Only 8 days to go

Some great presenters lined up, a good crowd of attendees booked in & the weather's looking good too.
What could possibly go wrong :comfort

Still places left if anyone's interested in a weekend of great presentations, great craic & an awful lot of bollox talk :aidan

IN Case any of you are having trouble finding this place???

I do! Every Year I go!

So here is a definitive end point, coupled in with the route that I travel its nice and peaceful

Point D on the plan is the actual driveway into the venue

Another great weekend.
An excellent event in an excellent location.
Well done, Jockser & Co. :thumb2

Sounds like a great event! I was on Riders Rally, which was really enjoyable, a real pity these two top events clash.
