Grosslockner pass

A word to the wise for anyone visiting the Glockner in the next few weeks, local police in Salzburger land are having a blitz on bikes being ridden in an inappropriate manner following four a five injury accients involving bikes around Zell am See, Saalfelden (ie the north side of the Glockner) in the last week or so

Be sure you do not use the air brakes

If you are driving a Seat on the Grossglockner.

It was over a km straight down!
P.S. Height isn't everything. Thje Nochalmstrasse is much better.
If you go into Italy and can find the Passo de Lanza, it is even better, but do not waste your time looking on a satnav, because they generaly fail to list it. Look it up on the net.

Kaprun’s Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski resort got 50cm of snow too! Meanwhile, Saalbach / Hinterglemm is under water from flash floods. The weather is broken at the moment!

I have just been watching a few Youtube/soc media vids this morning. I wonder if any tossers are in SH, maybe staying at the Sonnegg currently? The roads were awash a few days back, now blocked with fallen trees & mud............in August FFS. The GG seems to have reopened, looking at the live cams; even a few brave bikers up the Edelweiss spitze this morning.
