Today our Samsung phones stopped working with the iCloud server for our mail. Message was "fail to connect to server, enter password". The correct password would not work.
After an hour I realised I had not activated the 2 factor authentication on my Apple account. Having done that you can select create a password and once done my phone was back in service.
I had received mail from apple telling me to activate 2 factor authentication before the 15th, so it was my fault.
