What can I say ? Now im far from being any sort of expert but wow this Z1000SX is the dogs do dahhs ! Had first run out today on my own just to get used to how it handles. What a peach of an engine, its sewing machine smooth and its got so much torque its almost unbelievable. Pulls in sixth gear from 20 mph uphill and never misses a beat ! Its almost like a twist n go bloody scooter its so quick to accelerate. Turns in like an arrow, doesn't get upset on overbanding or rough surfaces and is silky smooth with instant throttle response. Riding position is a little more forward than a GS as would be expected, but even for my lardy arse it isn't that bad, although I have fitted Moto Werk lowering peg blocks to help my buggered old hips. Its early days but im 100% convinced that I have made the right move, and I will admit to being unsure if I had done the right thing. More thoughts will follow, as I get used to it.
