What can I say ? Now im far from being any sort of expert but wow this Z1000SX is the dogs do dahhs ! Had first run out today on my own just to get used to how it handles. What a peach of an engine, its sewing machine smooth and its got so much torque its almost unbelievable. Pulls in sixth gear from 20 mph uphill and never misses a beat ! Its almost like a twist n go bloody scooter its so quick to accelerate. Turns in like an arrow, doesn't get upset on overbanding or rough surfaces and is silky smooth with instant throttle response. Riding position is a little more forward than a GS as would be expected, but even for my lardy arse it isn't that bad, although I have fitted Moto Werk lowering peg blocks to help my buggered old hips. Its early days but im 100% convinced that I have made the right move, and I will admit to being unsure if I had done the right thing. More thoughts will follow, as I get used to it.

Looks good Del. How good is the screen?

Looks good mate, but let's see some pictures of it with some stunning scenery.

Looks good in that paint scheme.

By all accounts - a very accomplished bike - and it returns to the earlier idea of what a sports/tourer should be........ before they all started getting larger.

Enjoy!

Al

Why do Kawasaki sit the fairing so low?
Its just above the fender, Move it up 6 inches and it will do something.

Nice !!!

They certainly are turbine smooth !

I had the 120bhp version of your 140bhp in my Versys and I was amazed how nippy it was and how sorted the fuelling/power delivery was.

Rode a ZX briefly last year when I had my MT10 and only complaint was that the pegs were much higher than on the Yam.

Yup, I would have trouble getting my plates onto the standard peg position due to my creaky hip joints, that's why Moto Werk were called upon for a set of their rather nice lowering blocks.

Yeah I really should get rid of that old washing machine and tidy up that hose. Incidentally the weed infested path you see in the distance belongs to my next door neighbour, he doesn't bother weeding as you can see. lol. However its my only path to freedom with my mighty steed as im in the middle of a row of four houses.

I like it too.... but it's a bit small oooer missus :blast

When I was a kid I used to have nightmares where everything was really big and I was really small:eek:
That picture is bringing it all back
