Cambridge - good news

It's a fucking shitehole of a place full of Chinese tourists and migrants on cycles who have no fucking idea what they are doing.

Can't wait for them to learn how to drive :D

Peterborough Sh*t hole of the Fens almost as bad as Chatteris

Went to a high tech company in the neighbouring county, Bedfordshire, Luton to be precise just recently.

Surface mount, pick & place, wave soldering, box build, panel assembly, test.

All new kit.

American electro-mechanical corporate owners. Big investment.

Absolutely stacked out with work.

Going to be a good new client of mine.;)

Travel in for work every day.. traffic is bollocks... but the city is culturally stunning, architecturally beautiful, with a rich history of academia. It's now a great place to socialise, eat out and while away hours by the river.... I love Cambridge... if I could afford it I would live there too.. although living in Ely is pretty chill:D now bring on the bollox comment about toffs and punting and rich privileged education :D:rob

And the Arbury

I'm an import from Devon, but I've been up here in the flat lands for 18 years.

I rather like Cambridge apart from the house prices. That's why I live 20 minutes away....

It's great for employment which is why I came up here in the first place, I work in engineering.

London is in easy reach, as is the Midlands.

But most importantly it's surprisingly good for trail riding in this part of the world :beerjug:

I do miss the beauty of Devon though :(

And the Arbury

I ignored that bit, when thinking about all the good stuff.... but as far as the 'rougher' elements of town go, Arbury is a decent place to live... its hardly moss side, croxteth etc. ;)

B&B

If anyone has plans to Visit Cambridge I can recommend an excellent B&B with secure bike parking :thumby:

Agree - Punting is funny when one is feeling a little squiffy after too much champers.
