West Yorks Fire & Rescue - "Biker Down" training places available August '17

West Yorks FRS have started "Biker Down" training as already running in other areas (aka "First Bike on Scene" - I think :nenau).

The three-hour course is aimed at bikers who may come across/be involved in a "Biker Down" situation and covers, broadly, Scene Management, Casualty Care and a bit on 'the science of being visible'.

The aim is to give the ordinary 'biker-mate' the skills and confidence to be of a bit more use than a chocolate teapot if something bad happens.

These sessions are pretty informal, very practically focussed and, I would suggest, very much worth three hours of anyone's time.

There are 3 upcoming courses with places still available, two in the Leeds District and one in Wakefield District:-

1. Wednesday 2nd August at Killingbeck Fire Station - 18:30 start.
2. Saturday 19th August at South Kirkby Fire Station - 13:00 start.
3. Wednesday 23rd August at Killingbeck Fire Station - 18:30 start.

All courses are FOC.
