Bugger, I rebuilt everything a couple of years ago and my trusty steed has been my Go To bike and totaly reliable. I spotted a small drop of oil on the garage floor from the sump gaskets and as an oil change was due I dropped the sump and replaced the gaskets to the extender and sump. I bought the gaskets from seibenrock two years ago. I always keep stock of some stuff. They looked a bit thick in comparison to those fitted but nothing bad. Bike now leaks like the Amoco Cadiz, the push rod tube rubbers have joined in along with the neutral switch. I have degreased and sprayed the block with chalk crack testing developer to fing the source of the leaks that seem to be getting worse. Are there any other specialist sources or parts to avoid? I bought new carb rubbers from BMW and they fit sooo much better than aftermarket. The push rod tube rubbers are also aftermarket. I could just buy BMW OE but the service at my local is so shit I just hate giving them my cash. So, for gaskets and rubber stuff (Fnar,Fnar!) who's hot and who's not?
