Hi y'all,

Earlier this year the R80GSPD was running rough as a pig since the Carburetters being blocked after being laid up for so long.

So I dropped the Carbs out and had them cleaned & a new set of gaskets fitted...and no I didnt take pictures before I removed them. :blast

Now Ive refitted them, it still runs like a pig !

Sooo, is there a sure fire method of getting the linkages set up correctly again?

BTW...(...and I may be showing my ignorance here...), where exactly is the Vacuum port ? I cant see it on the head...? :augie

Cheers

Could be a number of things. Check the float levels and valve adjustment. After that you should check the air filter, ignition timing (sticking bob weights is my guess). Then balance the carbs.

All the above,
Who cleaned the carbs?
Were they familiar with bings?
Were they fully stripped?
Sounds to me like the job may need a revisit:D
Can be tricky to get things just right without a fair bit of tweaking ,has the tank been cleaned and fresh fuel?
