Easy fix?

Looks the recall has been done as you can see the metal collar round the base of the spigot.
Small o ring need looking at ? Keep the release tab pressed in when putting them back together, stops the o ring being damaged as it passes through the locking tab.

I hope that's all it is.
I have a selection of O-rings somewhere safe.....

When was the recall done? Do you have a case to take it back and have it done properly?

In the meantime, grease the O-rings and see if that helps them to seal better. Petrol isn't gentle stuff so ordinary grease should be OK, but if bothered use red rubber grease.
 
It was indeed the O-ring, a £2.75 part..... thank feck.
