Hi when I push up or down left hand handlebar end there is a definite click but I can't find anything loose and it doesn't seem to affect the bike steering integrity at all. Any ideas out there?

Only left side? There is a small bit of vertical play in the bars on mine from the centre top-yoke bearing and the fork-top spherical bearings. Applies to left & right.

I don't know your model, but there is currently a BMW recall for front fork bushes on: R1200 GS (K50, K50/11) and R1200 GS Adventure (K51)

I got a letter through the post about a bike I have just purchased - a 2015 R1200 GS asking me to take it to my BMW dealer for a no cost recall. I went a few days ago and my forks were fine, but the parts were ordered for the recall anyway and they will be fitted in a few weeks FOC.

Hope this helps.

James

Are you holding the front brake on when pushing up down? If so, its probably the brake pads knocking in the castings of the calipers.
