Pyrenees in October?

Stayed in Solsona in Pyrenees last year, late October into November. Weather was just stunning, dry, only one day with low cloud which we rode out of. The locals though said we were lucky and it could just of easily been snow on the ground.
The pass we went over to get back in to France (Toulouse, as we took bikes in a van and parked up there..) had snow 2 days after we got home.
As with anything asking about time of year, you take your chances, I would risk the first week October but probably no later. We were lucky. Also if using a base maybe some where that is not too high in the mountains, just in case. Same as most people on here though, seen snow on mountain passes in June and July so you take your chances regardless.
