So I did my trip to Ljubljana on my 1997 Electra Glide last month, All went well without any real problems, Pannier full of tools and spares didn't get opened once during the week My sat nav was a Gaffer tape/ Magic maker/Map set up
First day I set off from home at 3am got to dover at 6 onto the ferry landed in Calais for 10.30 then off to Dunkirk (got a bit lost looking for the beach), Lille (Got very lost) into Belgium onto Mons, Namur then stopped just south of Luxembourg for the first night, got there about 18.00, 501 Miles.
Next day after a continental breakfast around 9 I was off again into Germany through Saarlouis, Zweibucken, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Munich then into Austria headed south at Salzburg stopping at Golling for the second night Landing around 19.00, 450 miles.

Third day was the best after a little detour, Left the digs around 9 again heading for the A99 but it was shut where I wanted to join due to a landslide the night before, After an hour riding around I managed to re-join it I little further on and was I glad I had it was the best road I have ridden, breath-taking scenery following a crystal clear river through gorges then climbing up into the mountains riding through ski resorts then back down to Spittal and a little detour round the lake then on to Villach following the signs for the Wurzenpass which took you over the mountains and through the Austria-Slovenia boarder. A final ride on the E61 into Ljubljana and the Nostalgija bar for a cold one
Saturdays gig was great with a lot of American cars, bikes and beer
Strated back Sunday following the same route getting home 20.00 on Tuesday night, Over the six days riding I only got 20mins of rain, Happy days.
