Morning,
I thought i'd share this info for those that don't know.
If you have any problems with your right or left handle bar switch gear. It is most likely caused by the rubber around the switches inside perishing letting water in.
A new switch is over £200 and most 2nd hand ones will have the same trouble.
Here are some pics and the ebay link to new switches at £5 ish each.

Nice one...are these type of switches also used for the paddle style indicators?

Yes, my bike is a 2005.
I presume these switches are used on all gs's upto the lc models
