WTF is a 'Gaucho'? :nenau

Jaysus! Call yerself a GSer and don’t know what a Gaucho is? - or shitebag as others know it. Steptoe would be turning in his grave, if he had one.

Yep - than thing above. Not cool or shiny but better than a £500 a night prosser to keep you warm and happy on a cold wet January evening.

Anyone on here fitted one? (Shitebag, not prosser)

no doubt there will be some who would prefer an Argentinian cowboy!

Not to a GS but had one permanently attached to my T-Max; made commuting a doddle. Neil will be along soon with the pic of his Shitebag (gaucho) equipped GSA in the Pyrenees covered in ice ;)

Not this one then...

Any excuse to listen to the great Steely Dan.

Sorry for the hijack :D:D:D

Had to laugh reading down the list.

Yes I have one fitted through the winter, took a while to sit correctly.
Will send pics once back in the Uk of the straps that I find work best for me.
It's saves the legs and arse on my 232 Mile commute twice weekly.

I did cut off the extra bib section.

I don't quite have the tosser insulation system yet!

Cheers Andy - look forward to seeing the pics.

do you wear regular trousers under it, or do you still need weatherproofing?

I wear leathers mostly thru the winter with them.
Back in the Uk next Thurs will send pics then.

I just use a pair of draggin jeans, not waterproof either. Shitebag keeps all the weather off, warm and dry whatever the distance.

BTW, I'm surprised Andy you've cut the bib off?
With the bib extension strap around my neck, I find it really helps keep the chest part in place and stops it falling forward.

Plus it hooks over my rear rack so keeps the whole bike 'under cover' which is a bonus.:beerjug:

Sorry for delay, just back in the UK.
This is how I've fitted the Gaucho, the straps have never in 26,000 miles ever interfered with he break or gear lever.I only uses the fabric strap, have used the metal ones that were provided but found they did move around too much.
Essentail to shape the metal in the Goucho before fitting, then tweak as you go
