Davey here’s the top box set up

I've finally had the last parts delivered today from Canada.

So still in the process of painting up 40 parts which need to be Black, and were delivered unfinished silver Aluminium.

Should all be fitted by this weekend and get some pictures up on here of the final version :thumb2

Waiting for paint to dry is no fun.... :bounce1:nenau:blast

Well, does it work?
Up to about 55mph yes. Cleaner air in front of visor, less tugging at shoulders. Over that its minimal gain. Might work better in conjunction with a screen but not on its own. Looking into screens now. Ideally after the same as a GS with givi airflow outcome.

I purchased the Puig touring screen but still had buffeting so installed the extender arms to raise it. This brought it too high so drilled the screen to lower it about an inch out of my eye line. It has removed a lot of the buffeting but its not as good as the Givi touring screen on my R1200GS even sitting an inch higher.

It begins...

wowza! that system looks the biz mate, thats the one im thinking of, any chance of a sound clip?

Update on the Sargent seat......

I got the ferry to Scotland as I wanted to ride over the new Queensferry bridge, so did a nice long day covering about 300 meandering miles. Such a big improvement over the stock seat and I'm pleased to say it's been worth the investment. :thumb2

I also picked up the new TT screen from my mates home in Irvine, so I'll get a few pics and thoughts up asap.

Thanks Dazzle for this. Can I have some shots of the left rear side of the skid plate (behind brand tag). This is the place where one of the fittings of the left Heed crash bar is located and this area might be a tricky point.

Just installed the Rugged Roads lower crash bars on mine the instructions were poorly written and slightly incorrect as one bracket labelled as right side is actually left side,Its also an awkward fitment especially not helped with the mix of 12,13 & 14 mm heads with old and new parts

correct side [ignore the spacer that came out]

Touratech medium tinted screen fitted. It's alleged to be 2" shorter than the oe screen, but it doesn't seem that much lower. I've had a short ride with my normal lid and its fine, the big test will be when I wear my Tour X. It's terribly expensive tho' feels well made and is quite thicker than the oe screen, not that that'll make much difference.
