Went to get the old girl out of the garage this morning for a run and noticed that the plastic support housing for the clutch lever had cracked.

Called BMW and they are "unsure" if this is covered under the warranty.

The bike is less then a year old and has under 1000 miles on the clock.

Anyone else had this issue?

There’s quite a lot of discussion about this issue over on the Rninet forum. Overtightening seems to be a cause as is mis alignment when replacing the screws.

The Dealer (Chandlers of Brighton) has just admitted that they fitted the "U" clamp part of the assembly upside down (on both sides) after fitting the Rizoma clutch and brake levers.

The are going to stand good for all costs.

That’s very honest of them, a big round of thanks
Keep the dealer, you’ve got a good one
