After having done over 1000 miles of mainly motorway riding in the last couple of days I noticed a very small weep of oil from the water/oil pump drain hole at the front underneth the engine. There is no frothing in the oil and the coolant does not appear to have any film of oil in it . A new oil/water pump from BMW is £350 and I seem to remember from years back when I had a K100RT that the cheaper option of fitting new seals is not that successful due to the likelihood of the impeller shaft being worn as well . Motorworks offer a refurbished unit for £180 with a 12 month guarantee - has anyone had any experience of one of these and what is the consensus - go for brand new or opt for the refurbished unit ?
