You almost couldn't make this up ....

For those following or having read my leaky Badlands thread ...

The trousers that have been replaced and the jacket that has been repaired are not actually compatible together.

I read somewhere that Klim had standardized the zips across the entire range so that all jackets and all trousers could be zipped together.

I casually asked the bloke at Adventure spec to check the zip together compatibility of the new trousers to my old jacket before he posted them out to me and guess waht ?

The zips are now different

Waiting on Klim to come up with a solution

Nofuck Tiger will be pissing in his pants

.... off :p

I guess best case is a new 'current' jacket or get a new zip in the existing jacket...........

Do you actually zip your kit together, I can't say I ever do?

Andres

I have done on a few occasions

But the point is that you should be able to i suppose

I am fully expecting that Klim will now take the jacket back for another few weeks and change the zip. That is a few more weeks without my riding kit so it is starting to piss me off a bit.

You would have thought that Klim would have foreseen the issue before going to the trouble of repairing the jacket or changed the zip at the same time.

The bit that makes me the most annoyed is that i feel strongly that the newer Badlands is not as well made as the one I currently own ( half of at any rate as the trousers are the new ones now) and i didn't want a replacement and certainly didn't want to be so inconvenienced by what is allegedly a premium and definitely an expensive product

I am trying my best to be hippy and zen calm but ....

Sad, so very sad :tears:tears

The zip on the Badlands hardly pulls the jacket and trousers together anyway. I think that Klim rely on the back support device to hold the jacket in place.

Certainly not like the pull together zip on a Rukka suit.

I expected better from you Micky :rob poor Rick is suffering on many fronts. This makes me sad very, very sad :(

I struggled and strived over the years to set very low standards .... and I regularly fail to reach them :D
