At least if it is that, it's an easy fix, albeit not such a cheap one.
I'm only thinking this because you say you only fitted the y-piece and it's gone wobbly since then.
Exactly.

Them o2 sensors are worth replacing every 30k or so as their efficiency drops... i recently bought a cheapie from ebay and it's doing fine at 5k now...
If the O2 is knackered won't it put the fi light on?
Surely if you 'give it the berries' it will be running open loop thereby negating wether the O2 is knackered.
If the O2 is knackered won't it put the fi light on?
Another thought, when it is running closed loop, an air leak on the exhaust (engine side) would allow air to be drawn in, the O2 would see this as lean lean and try to richen the mixture which would now be over rich
I know jack about these bikes so stand to be corrected

I have no idea what TPS is or how I would check it?! Hot idle is more like 980/1000. I will wind it up tomorrow. Cheers.also check your hot idle is <1100 and TPS set at ~350mV
The TPS is the throttle position sensor and is a thin black plastic square on the side of the throttle body. Unclip the connector and measure the voltage.
Thanks mate. Will do.
