I may have the opportunity to replace my tank to add much needed capacity. I have to fill up twice each week for commuting. Which is a pain in the neck TBH..

It would be of a donor GSA being broken. Which does not have a fuel pump. But seems to have everything else. Im sure I would be able to take any bits that my GS does not have to make it work.

Is this a straight forward switch over? Do I need to buy any special bits?

For your info someone on here has done this conversion, I was talking to them a couple of years back at the Hull ferry , I thought it was a GSA with low suspension but he was saying it was a GS with a big tank conversion

You need a lot of GSA stuff right down to the beak frame as well as the plastics and obvious bits.

You could carry Rotopax bottles on each pannier rack. As its a GS you might need to make the racks.

Are you sure? Does the beak have to replaced? I dont see that in the link above.

I can get all the bits of the donor bike for 300. Except the pump.

I bought s replacement beak frame when I thought mine was bent. The GS replacement didn’t fit so it went back on eBay.
My original GSA beak frame turned out to be ok so no harm done.
