Good morning.

I’d like some advice in purchasing a tablet please and my computer knowledge is very limited. I think my main problem is understanding the terminology, that combined with the fact that I don’t really use technology much - in fact we’ve only just bought a TV, 4 years after the old one stopped working

I want a simple 10” device (stop it). The main use will be to browse the Internet and it must be able to mirror image with our new Sony TV. I want to set up routes in base camp and transfer to my Garmin 660 and playback photos/videos from my wife’s Senna.
I may watch the odd film but not too bothered about brilliant picture quality.

I won’t be playing games or need a fantastic camera.
Using my limited knowledge I have a feeling I may get one for around £150, I don’t want to pay £350+.

I hope that all makes sense - many thanks for any advice.

You are restricting yourself, you get what you pay for :) The main restriction is the need for Basecamp and data transfer to 660, that means you are essentially tied to a Windows Tablet.

A Linx 1010 running Windows 10 will do what you need, and it's in the price bracket, have a look on Amazon
