Anyone Ride A Ducati Sled Scrambler

nice looking bike , and I bet its great , however the price differential between that and the normal scrambler isn't reasonable IMHO.

One of my riding mates has 7 Ducatis and he's added a Sled to the collection, it's a very nice bike, powerful enough and handles well.

The guy is quite short so he's had to put a lower seat on it.

He hasn't been brave enough to take it off road yet though.

Just seen this , yes I have one. Great fun wee bike, no rocket ship but has enough to keep you entertained. Good fun off road, hopefully it won’t disintegrate over the winter.

Looks lovely.

What are they like on road? Any good for a 15 mile commute?

I only have 500 miles done so far but very impressed with the handling on and off road. It took me a while to get the suspension set . Make a great commuter , well balanced and smooth, but you need a screen and heated grips this weather.

Great to see it being used properly what sort of mileage do you get to a tank

I keep looking at them, and is one of 3 bikes I went back to at the NEC to have another sit on (1) Goldwing 2) Desert Sled 3) BMW T'Urban). For me the Ducati Scrambler is flawed unless your short in the leg, but the Desert Sled looks just right and is a perfect height for normal people.

To the OP's question, my 125cc Scooter would happily do your 15 mile commute, I dont think you need to worry about (any) bikes ability to do 15 miles. Maybe would draw the line at a Tomos !

It wasn't just for the commute but also for days out etc instead of the RT.

I know pretty much anything would handle the commute.

I was waiting for that :D

Ahh, that makes sense Davel, I'm not sure I could have one as my only bike as I think the (lack) of power for every day riding would become a drag. Im happy going touring on a sportsbike, but pretty sure I wouldnt tour on a Desert Sled. I dont own one, but tried the scrambler out a while ago and the engine didn't excite.
