Best you be quick after my September visit to the factory I would be surprised to see bikes assembled there for much longer.
It can't make financial sense, darn big unutilised areas plus old buildings that are falling apart & no doubt miles away from other Piaggio facilities.
And now Mandello is just a assembly plant & not an effective one at that, I would also imagine due to its location the cost of delivered goods in must be far greater than a central Italian or one of there other plants spread across the globe.
Everything I saw coming in was on pallets or trolleys & the so called different sections of assembly didn't really do anything skilled.
So very different from my last visit in 2002..

Worth a visit - um mmmmmmmmmm yes but......
If your passing or part of a tour yes-
( as long as you do your homework in terms of factory opening or museum opening times )
2021 they are 100 years old & it would be a great time to go, if Mandello is still operating..
