Anyone reading the beer mat drawings thread I have on the go,
May have read I have stockpiled a few bits,
Some of them are not really suitable for the 3 enduro style bikes being built.
They would however lend themselves to something more along the lines of this:clap

This earlier bike is a lot simpler than the later ones,so at some point I’ll use the other parts to build something along the same lines.
If you fancy a nice simple airhead LDT bike shout up.
I’m going to dry build it over the next few weeks, without spending a fortune on parts, once the other bikes are underway I’ll see how things go.

The basic spec will be to use this R65
Although it looks a bit grim the motor is quite nice:D
I was thinking of keeping it with the short swing arm,and a low ratio bevel.

Seal up all the holes and soda blast the engine.
Or you could get Barry Scot to dip it in Cillit Bang

Bike all stripped ,
I’ve given the frame and swing arm a quick going over in the blast cabinet so I can check the frame welds etc.
I’ve also removed all the brackets I no longer need :clap

I’m not going to rebuild the engine just yet on this one, but I need a complete lump to get the exhaust made etc ,so I cleaned it all:clap
I’ll build it up empty for the drybuild.

Today’s little job, sort fork yokes.
1st major problem,
Taper Roller Bearings with an OD of 52mm and an ID of 27 to suit the maico forks are not available.
So ,some spacers are needed.
