I have suzuki dr400s (1980 model) which has a 6 volt battery. Is there a way of wiring a Zumo 550 to the bike by adding some electronic wizardry to it. Somebody sent me a possible link to how to do this but lost it. (Use to have a 1150gs but for medical reasons sold it as it was a tad heavy and the better half didn't want me getting another heart attack) . Got a couple of extra batteries for the zumo but would rather have it wired to the bike if possible.

Have a look on eBay for 'step up booster power converter'. I've bought a couple of devices which which turn 6.5 volts into 5 volts and have USB sockets fitted. Having bought them I have to admit not getting round to using them yet - my plan was to power a Garmin Zumo 220 from one of my old 'classics' which are fitted with 6v electrics. They're cheap devices so worth a try
