The front end from later bikes are designed for steep rake angle so the offset is small.
You really need a set of tripples with stock offset.

TBH it's stock standard so far

I see a lot of classics like CBX1000 using Hayabusa or R1 front ends.
Fec all steering lock and it makes very slow steering.
Just press ahead and get the bike done and see how it rides, its only an hour to change the tripples if you have to source some.
I make my own, you can if you have a few power tools:D
