Hi, I recently bought a very nice '93 K75RT from a fellow 'tosser'. I think its been owned by a few members (reg K176HRS).
It's got a leaky fork seal so I've ordered replacement seals etc. and pulled the forks out.
The seller gave me two manuals (Haynes and an adapted BMW repair manual) but neither cover the forks fitted to the bike which are Showa 2312298 (B001-R).
I've followed the manuals as far as I can but can't work out how to get the top caps out as they dont "press in until the retaining clip is revealed".
Any advice would appreciated. I'm trying to not get frustrated. Difficult after I dropped one leg on my toe....slippers in the garage....not a good choice.

Have a look on youtube;)

There's some right bodgers on there. Taking bits from a few videos I seem to have managed to get the stanchions out of the lower legs without taking the top caps off....fingers crossed they go back together:thumby:

I had the forks off to do an oil change and those caps do come off by removing the retaining ring/clip - I coated it all in anti corrosion grease as when I tried to get them out they were rusted in . Give me a call if any help needed , John
