Just had my bike MOT'd and the tester advised me that the rear shock lower bush has become worn and will need replacing in the future. I have checked on the OEM page of Motoworks and it appears you cannot get a replacement bush. My bike has done 40'000 miles. Does anyone know if the bush can be replaced or do I need a new shock ?. Any suggestions appreciated. Halfa 1200.

Don`t quote me but....
As I recall when taking out my rear shock to fit the Hyperpro spring, it looked like a normal shock ie bush is part of the shock.
My suggestion is that with your mileage a replacement shock and new mounting bolts is about due.

Thanks, I was in two minds about fitting a new shock, I like the spec for the touratech level 2 shock and will get a wrap around cover for the springs. Anyone tried this shock yet?.

Have heard good things about the TT rear shock.
I have a Nitron R1 rear shock on my 2008 800GS, which is really good.
There are lots of choices out there, Halfa. Frequently to a confusing level.
Good luck getting what you want.
