Anyone tried fitting rubber inserts (the twin cam GSA type) into the (LC) GSA footpegs? Look like it's just a case of grinding a bit of the rubber away from underneath the outer point

No, but I have swopped from the metal GSA-LC pegs to the rubber topped GS-LC pegs, cos the soles of my Daytona’s we’re getting messed up by the bare metal teeth of the GSA pegs. Probably due to too much standing on the pegs.

Rubber inserts for GSA LC footpegs are not available.

FWIW I have a set of the Wunderlich pegs which have the rubber inserts that can be easily removed for off roading. I bought them after the standard pegs cut nice big holes in my Daytona road boots.
Piv pegs may be the way forward
