Weird prices and celebrity inflation!

Pannier frames bot braced at back, I'm sure they are supposed to be braced. Rocker covers not original, did Mr May have a little off? Seriously though, looks very nice but stupid price, if he was Steve McQueen perhaps but Mr May?????
 
Pannier rails were NOT braced on a 1991 R80GS or R100GS... (I had one from new).
Rare?..... only in the fact that it was owned by Mr May.
Nice condition, and low miles but not worth £10k IMHO ...maybe £4.5 ton £5K..
Firstly to see will buy?.......I dont think so.

Current bid on that is around the same as CRs reach in Oz.
Clean unmolested bikes are bid to two to three times that, particularly the spoke wheeled bikes.
Don't know if they are genuine bids, or if they reach the reserve, but I do know that a nice looking R80 G/S PD which was bid to $15,000- without reaching reserve changed hands for less than $9000- a week after the auction!
