When cleaning the bike I usually start it up and cycle through the suspension settings just to make sure everything is still functioning so I did the one helmet ,
one helmet+luggage ,2 helmets etc when I put it into the rough setting you know small hill ,large hill it then had the option for hard , soft option there might have been another option only had the bike two years and have never seen this displayed before .what would the advantage of these ,I thought the 2 hill options would alter the damping of the units .

There are 5 settings:
- 1 helmet
- 2 helmets
- 1 helmet with luggage
- Gentle hills
- Steep hills

The different settings adjust the preload with the hills/mountains changing damping I believe as well (someone will be along in a moment to correct that)

That’s what I thought but after the steep hills it had the hard or soft option as well

So would this hard or soft option be available in the other settings a well .

Might give it a try with the other settings .

The two steep hill settings have “hard” and “soft” damping settings. The others have Sport, Normal and Comfort. What’s wrong with hard medium and soft is anyone’s guess.

Preload affects ride height.

Damping affects firmness.

The 3 helmet settings only affect the rear ride height.

The two mountain settings affect the front as well as the rear ride height.
