I'm staying in Cardiff city centre on Friday 27th April ahead of going to the Principality Stadium on Sat 28th for the Judgement Day rugby double header.

Any suggestions for a nice spot of dinner & a cocktail?

Thx :thumb2

If you like Italian food I recommend Giovannis, round the corner from John Lewis.

The Chapel, Churchill way, or the Madeira Guildford Crecent are quite good for food.
The Smokehaus has good size portions.:thumby:
Miller and Carter on the Hayes also has a cocktail bar.

Loads of choice - the old Warehouses in westgate St have a number of choices - Zero degree brewery maybe, tapas in Bar 44 or of course, one of about 45 'spoons in Cardiff.
Some good Italians, not the chain jobs, established decades ago. Giovanni's as mentioned above and another on Crwys Road in Cathays is one of the gems in the suburbs.
The friendliest pub in Cardiff is the Golden Cross - you don't have to be a gayer to be welcomed.

The Hopbunker near the castle has a good range of real beers. Not sure if it serves food.

Tapas is always a winner with me....& Giovanni's gets another mention too, so thx.

I do like a Nando's :D

Yup,as Wessie mentioned,Zerodegrees brewery opposite the stadium is great .
They do great pizzas from a huge pizza oven .
Then I’d head to Dorothy’s in chip alley !

You won't go far wrong at Cafe Citta. A tiny Italian restaurant, book well in advance if you decide to go, you won't be disappointed.
