Seat for basic

Mrs Berin has acquired a basic, and needs a lower seat. The seat that’s with it is good and I’m reluctant to butcher it, so I’m looking for a seat base. Can anyone tell me which seats fit the basic? I think the base is the same as an r80st, but what about 80 g/s, 80 gs, any others?

The seats for the R80ST and G/S are the same. I’m not sure about the Basic. I have a ST seat I’d sell but it’s in great shape so perhaps too good to modify? We can discuss on PM if you’re interested.

I would have thought only the paralever seats would fit NOT the st or g/s ones?

I’ve just looked here and looks like I’m wrong it is the g/s st one you want

The basic uses the same base as the g/s and st but has a couple of support rubbers in different places to suit the slightly different subframe

this is my basic seat. They just leave out the three rubber supports for the g/s seat and fit another where the basics crossmember fits

Yes. It’s essentially the same seat
