Mini Pump

Just fitted an Optimate directly to my battery on my GSA and was wondering are there any mini pumps from somewhere like Nippy Normans that have a connection that would fit the optimate

I have an Airman pump which come with a 12V plug which fits the BMW socket (however a long story but won't work with engine off). I then bought the female plug to fit my optimal charging cable on eBay for about £2.

I cut the cable of the Airman plug and fitted a male and female optimal plug so I have the best of both worlds (I carry it in the car when I go away). I particularly like the Airman pump as the gauge on it is extremely accurate and negates the need to carry a tyre pressure gauge too.

I would not trust a gauge on any compressor - I have a trusty, Avon branded pencil gauge that I take on trips.
 
I too have the Airman pump, and found the gauge to be spot on.
