Y Piece and standard end can

I have fitted a Remus Y piece to my ‘02 1150GS and have gone to fit the standard end can for the moment. However when I go to tighten the clamp the exhaust is still loose on the pipe, I have tried a different clamp and it’s still loose.
Anyone else had this issue? And what is the best fix.
All help and advise appreciated as usual

Just nipped into the garage to see if I could shim it and have managed to make the Remus piece a little bigger by wrapping aluminium speed tape round it and it has sealed nicely once the end can was fitted

Had similar issue rectified it by taking spacer out of centre of clamp it will then actually tighten up

I’ve had Harleys with shot gun and straight through pipes so it’s nice to have it popping again. Going to fit a K&N air filter to it which should help.
Also I’ve been told to change the air intake but don’t which model I need it off.
