I took my Yamaha YXZ to Wales for a couple of days on the trails. Riding trails on your own is a no-no in my book. Especially as, in the Welsh wilderness, I got stuck in snow.

All diff locks engaged; 4 wheels spinning their gnarly tyres; rocking the steering but all to no avail.

I've fitted a 50' winch to the buggy - but you need something to pull against. There was a suitable fence post about 150' away - luckily I had enough rope to connect and haul myself out.

All that totally clear grassland and you elected to drive on....and get stuck on....the only patch of snow visible anywhere. :augie

I couldn't see the snow until I got over the rise. The lane was sunk much lower than surrounding grassland with a step of about 2 foot to get out.

Besides, I thought I could get through the snow! :blast
 
If that patch stopped you then it's a good job you didn't venture further north!
