Just ordered a new base model iPad to replace a tired iPad mini.

Just seen a new model may be announced next week.

Should I send it back (without opening) pending the new model or discounts on this model?

Like anything new from Apple, the hype will make it seem like you HAVE to have it, but ultimately it will operate in exactly the same way. Plus it will be more expensive. As you’ve only ordered the base model, I wouldn’t worry about it, and stick to the one you’ve ordered.

Saying all that, I’ll probably get one! :D
 
If you return it and buy the new one l, they'll announce another new one in a week. And you'll be stuck in a loop forever with no iPad

I followed the online rumours about the new iPad coming out this week so took it back unopened.

I will look at the best deal over the next few weeks.

It is for my wife and she really wants another iPad mini.

As there may not be another iPad mini I will not wait much longer. The current model is already being discounted in the USA.
