A place not to miss in France

And if you're heading south, don't miss Guerande just 50 km south on the coast near St Nazaire.

Gordes, in Provence is very nice. It’s nowhere near the other places, so don’t plan on a day’s bimble there and back. Unless that is, you get up very early.

Right next door to Gordes is Roussillon which is also very nice and has giant cliffs of ocre to visit

There ya go, now it’s worth a nights bnb :D

Well, it’s not far away, I’ll give you that.

My parents lived in (or close to) Roussillon for 25 years, overlooking the Luberon.

yep although we prefer La Roche Bernard as a stopping place for lunch by the water, on our way to La Chapelle de Marais!

Was just staying in Pornichet for work, quite built up but lovely coastline. France is definitely growing on me!

On the other side of the Durance I know, but Moustieres Sainte Marie is easily overlooked/by-passed in the mad dash to 'do' the Gorges du Verdon....an utterly charming village, well worth the detour.

Nowhere near the OP's suggestion however!

We love the place but mark where you parked on google maps or four hours later you might not be able to find your bike
